I am very excited to be part of the CHP community as the 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher and look forward to sharing my passion for Social Studies with my
 students!

Prior to teaching at CHP, I was teaching in New York City High Schools for 2 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Adolescent Education, both from the College of Staten Island where I was granted the 2019 Academic Excellence in History Award. 

Philosophically, I believe all students are unique and must have a stimulating, inclusive, and challenging environment. This will enable them to grow academically, emotionally, and socially. My priority is using the content to nurture students’ ideas and empower students academically. I strongly believe Social Studies is essential to aid students in further expanding their reading, writing, and decision making skills. Most importantly, I am confident that this serves as an important piece in guiding students to become their authentic selves.
