National School Walkout

Cedar Hill Prep School participated in the National School Walkout on March 14th, 2018.  All middle school students and faculty walked out and stood in silence for 17 minutes.  Our Principal, announced the name of every child who died in the Parkland High School Shooting in Florida and we maintained a minute of silence for each of the 17 students.  Everyone then gathered together in the Gym to talk about School Safety and how important it was to feel safe.  We then had 6 students from Grade 8 debate about Gun Control.  This was to demonstrate that what Politicians do is debate and come up with no resolutions.  We are a democracy.  We need proactive politicians who talk less and MAKE THE COUNTRY SAFE.  WE NEED ACTION TO PROMOTE SAFETY!  TIGHTER GUN CONTROL AT THE FEDERAL AND STATE LEVELS.  STUDENTS ARE THE FUTURE OF THE NATION. STUDENTS FOR CHANGE. STUDENTS FOR GUN CONTROL.
