Trailside Nature and Science Center

Second grade students enjoyed nature at its best as they spent an afternoon at the Trailside Nature and Science Center in the Watchung Reservation. After receiving an overview of animals indigenous to the Reservation and how they survive, the students walked a trail, guided by a Trailside naturalist, seeking the animals and evidence of their habitation. The day ended with a picnic lunch on the grounds of the Reservation.
