Veterans Day at Cedar Hill Prep

Cedar Hill Prep Grade 3

Preschool

Veterans Day is the time where we honor and give thanks to those who have served or are serving in the military. Preschoolers had a special visit from Christine Smith (Oliver and Noah’s mom) in her Navy dress blues. She talked to the class about her uniform and ribbon awards that she has received. Christine also demonstrated how to fold the very large flag into a triangle by using 13 folds. The kids really enjoyed her presentation as well as the teachers! Thank you so much for serving our country.

Kindergarten

The Kindergarten students learned that Veterans Day annually falls on November 11th and that it is to honor our veterans and to thank them for risking their lives to keep us safe and free in the United States of America. On Tuesday November 12th we were lucky enough to have our very own Veteran, Ms. Christine Smith talk to us about the proper way to fold the American Flag.
