Transportation
Cedar Hill Preparatory School proudly serves students from Somerset County and neighboring communities. To support our families, the school offers a variety of transportation options designed to provide flexibility, convenience, and reliable service for daily travel to and from campus.
Families may choose from the following transportation options:
- Family-provided transportation
- Cedar Hill Prep bus or van service
- Transportation through one of the school’s trusted
partner providers
Cedar Hill Prep works closely with reputable transportation companies to coordinate services for our families. In many cases, transportation billing is managed directly through the school for added convenience. Families who require specialized or customized transportation arrangements may also choose to work directly with a provider.
Transportation costs are determined by the distance between a student’s residence and the school and are based on the following mileage ranges: 0–5 miles, 6–10 miles, 11–15 miles, and 16–20 miles. Transportation may be arranged as one-way or round-trip service.
District Transportation & Aid in Lieu
Some municipalities may provide bus transportation through the local school district. When district transportation is not available, families may be eligible for Aid in Lieu of Transportation, a financial reimbursement provided by their local district.
Parents must complete a B6T form for each enrolled student. The school’s Transportation Coordinator submits the form to the
appropriate local school district on the family’s behalf.
Eligible families may receive approximately $1,000–$1,200 annually, typically issued in two payments in January and June. Eligibility is generally determined by the distance between the student’s residence and Cedar Hill Preparatory School (greater than 2.5 miles).
