Cedar Hill Preparatory School is bursting with pride as seventh grader Yajur Subramaniam has been officially spotlighted in Scripps’ “Meet the Spellers” feature — one of only 243 contestants selected from 11 million students across the country to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
Scripps’ “Meet the Spellers” feature puts CHP’s name in front of audiences nationwide — a proud milestone for our Preschool to 8 community in Somerset, NJ.
Beyond the spelling bee, Yajur is a remarkable all-around student. He loves world history, geography, and trivia, and is an avid quiz bowl competitor. He won first place at the International Piano Competition in Osimo, Italy this past December and had the incredible opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, cricket, and hanging out with friends — and has his sights set on becoming the U.S. Ambassador to Greenland someday.
His favorite word? Antidisestablishmentarianism, of course.
We are so proud of you, Yajur. Go show the country what CHP is made of!
