Course Information:
The objective of the Preschool Enrichment Program is to engage the children in a structured active environment. The enrichment builds on fundamental elements of early childhood education, while allowing the children to enjoy their childhood, while providing children with an opportunity to be ready for formal education. The classes meet Monday thru Friday.

Course Information:
The objective of the Kindergarten Enrichment Program is to instill school readiness. This is done by involving the children in a structured curriculum that caters to the multiple intelligences of the child. The classes meet Monday through Friday.

Course Information:
The course targets important prerequisite skills for developing literacy. Students will practice listening for phonological awareness, short-term memory, categorization and comprehension.

Spanish Immersion
Spanish Immersion

Have fun learning and practicing Spanish in a relaxed and conversational fashion. Students will practice speaking in a non-traditional classroom setting, giving them a solid foundation for next fall. Students are encouraged to bring their own tablet.

A blended model of instruction combines face to face instruction with online instruction to maximize depth, intensity and effectiveness in reading comprehension. This builds student vocabulary and fluency.

A multisensory program for non-readers and struggling readers. The coursework integrates phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.

The course is designed for students who need to improve their writing abilities which include their style of writing, organization of thought, drafting, and revision. Analyze sequences of sentences or paragraphs to make sure they are logical. Interpret graphics and edit a portion of the accompanying passage so that it clearly and accurately conveys the information in the graphics.

The course targets mastering language mechanics. Students develop and reinforce their grammar and writing skills. Written assignments will focus on the effective use of language to communicate student thoughts and ideas.

Course Information:
Students learn to thoroughly research and analyze real world issues and use the 6-step problem-solving method to develop relevant action plans. They apply this knowledge plus divergent and convergent thinking skills to imagined future scenarios. Students will make a final presentation to showcase their innovative solution.
Future City Design Program

Course Information:
Future City Design program combines the engineering design process with project management to imagine, research, design, and build cities of the future. Students learn all aspects of the engineering design process, become aware of the different engineering fields, and then build a model futuristic city with innovative solutions to some of today’s most pressing issues. Students will showcase their model (using recycled materials) on the last day of class.

General Information
- Location: All classes meet at the Cedar Hill Prep School campus, unless otherwise noted, in course description.
- Programs: Program sessions will be held according to locations/time/dates noted. All programs are from June 29th – July 31st for 5 weeks, 50 hours, unless otherwise noted. See course description for additional attendance guidelines.
- Fees: The entire fees or deposit must be paid at registration. Tuition or session fees do not include cost of books and supplies except where noted. 10% DISCOUNT FOR SIBLINGS!!!
- Refunds: Deposit is refundable if a course is cancelled due to lack of registrants. A refund request must be made in writing to CADET for processing and to avoid cancellation fee. A full refund will be provided if registration is cancelled up to 5 business days prior to the first class. A $25 cancellation charge will be assessed if a parent elects to cancel 4 business days before the start of the session. After the first class, no refunds will be provided.
- Program changes: Because of certain possible contingencies, CADET must reserve the option to make any changes in course offering, scheduling, instructors and/or room assignments as appears necessary.
- Emergency Closings: In the event Cedar Hill Prep School is closed during the day for inclement weather, CADET also will be closed and classes made up at a later date. School closing announcement will be made via phone and on the website www.cedarhillprep.com.
- Late Fee: A $25 late fee if checks are returned for insufficient funds.
