Why CHP?
A child’s cognitive and social interactions are most crucial between the ages of 3-6. Cedar Hill Prep’s curriculum is centered around laying a strong foundation for early childhood development.
We are proud to announce that we are now a candidate for the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Program. The inquiry-based Primary Years Program directly aligns with our cross-disciplinary model of teaching and learning.
At Cedar Hill Prep (CHP), we maintain intimate class sizes in the elementary classrooms, thereby ensuring that teachers can give 1:1 attention to every student and cumulate a curriculum that is individualized and suitable to each child.
Our Faculty
Our teachers are committed to continuous improvement and stay current with the latest developments in education. Several of our elementary educators are trained in the Orton-Gillingham phonics-based approach, a highly effective method for building strong foundational reading skills—particularly beneficial for students with dyslexia.
This expertise allows us to offer personalized, multisensory instruction that supports diverse learning needs. Our faculty collaborates regularly to share strategies, refine techniques, and ensure consistency across grade levels. At CHP, we prioritize professional growth to ensure every student receives the highest quality of instruction and support.
Experiential Learning
Our nine-acre campus transforms learning into a dynamic, continuous experience. The natural surroundings, open spaces, and thoughtfully designed playgrounds encourage spontaneous discovery and active exploration throughout the day.As students move between classes, they interact with nature in meaningful ways—whether observing seasonal changes in science or finding artistic inspiration outdoors.
This integration of environment and education turns the entire campus into a living classroom. Outdoor learning fosters creativity, mindfulness, and curiosity, while helping students develop a deeper connection to the world around them.

Multicultural Learning
CHP recognizes the importance of including cultural differences in all aspects of learning. Diversity means much more than racial and ethnic differences—it encompasses language, beliefs, experiences, and perspectives. We explore the benefits of diversity and work together to build an ethnically inclusive community in celebration of those differences.
Through inclusive practices, culturally responsive teaching, and open dialogue, we create an environment where every student feels seen, respected, and valued. This commitment fosters empathy, encourages mutual understanding, and prepares students to thrive in an increasingly global society.

Our Curriculum
CHP is proud to be the only school in the area offering the Creative Curriculum® as part of our early childhood program. This research-based, hands-on approach fosters confidence, creativity, and the development of critical thinking skills from an early age.
Rooted in inquiry-based learning, the curriculum encourages young learners to explore, ask questions, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. We believe that children thrive in environments that nurture their natural curiosity and support their individual growth—laying a strong foundation for future academic success.
