I am excited to join the Cedar Hill Prep community as a Middle School teacher of Language Arts.

My educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Binghamton University.

My teaching career began over 20 years ago in a NYC public school. I also home-schooled my sons for two years, which was a truly unique and enriching experience.

Although I’ve taught at all levels from Preschool to High School, my preferred area to teach is Middle School Language Arts. My interest in Language Arts affords me the opportunity to read great literature with my students, to help them make connections, and empower them to find their voices as writers. I strongly believe that reading and writing well are essential components of our education. They help to develop the critical thinking skills we need to understand the world we live in and inspire us to make a difference.
