Cedar Hill Prep School Second Grade celebrated Black History Month by presenting a readers’ theatre performance called the ABCs of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. Each child recited a letter of the alphabet to tell a part of the story about the work of Harriet Tubman. The children also learned about the different code phrases that were used to guide the slaves to safety. The children created their own version of a Freedom Quilt as a backdrop for their play. Congratulations to our second graders who were very professional performers!
