Grade 3 Forces and Motion -Lab 1

Cedar Hill Prep Science Elementary School

Third graders learned to measure an object’s speed in their science lab. The students measured how fast a wind-up toy would move when wound up completely. They used a meter stick to measure the distance traveled and a stop watch to measure the time it took to travel that distance. The students collected data for three trials. They drew inferences based on the three trials and predicted what the distance would be in the fourth trial.
