On October 5, grade 5 of Cedar Hill Prep embarked on a tour at Sterling Hills Mine and Museum in Ogdenburg, N.J.  The objective was to see how humans change our Ecosystems that include living and nonliving elements. The students not only learned the Science of zinc, limestone, and saw how calcium can glow in the dark, but they were also educated in history. The students walked the shafts inside and learned the different struggles each mine worker had to deal with in order to earn a living for their families. Sterling Mines is also open to families for tours year-round. It makes a great family trip any time. Thank you to all who came on the trip with us!
