Grades 3 and 4 Visit to Grounds for Sculpture

On Oct. 5th, Grades 3 and 4 visited Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ.  Prompted by the displays and questions in their Activity Books, the students had a wonderful experience as they explored the sculpture park, navigating the various paths that unveiled amazing pieces of sculpture along the way.  One of the students remarked that it was like following a treasure map…uncovering beautiful surprises around each bend.

The intricate realism of the sculptures by J. Seward Johnson and the thought-provoking modern sculptures heightened the students’ interest and delight.  Many were talking of asking their parents to take them back for a longer visit.

Thank you to Ms. Wisniewski for arranging this trip and to Maya’s mother, Anastasia Bailey, for accompanying us!
