Pre-Kindergarten Poetry Day

Poetry Day was so awesome! The Pre- Kindergarten A class learned about poems and had so much fun creating their own. Each child was given two words that rhyme. Little did the children know that another child had to create two words that also belonged to the same rhyming family. Once put together, a very funny poem was created. Here is what the children wrote and read to their classmates. “Two Thumbs Up,” Pre K- A ROCKS!

Dr. Seuss once had a cat. He also played with a bat. The orange cat is pretty fat. It’s sleeping on a yellow mat

When I’m hot I use a fan. BAM!……..oh man, oh man!   On my head, I put a pan. How did I still get a tan?

On the farm, there is a giraffe that is quite big. His best friend is a small dirty pink pig. I saw a dog dig but when I went close, it was a boy with a wig.
I have my favorite food in the pot. But I don’t know if it’s cold or hot. My favorite sheet has a polka dot. I like to put it on my cot.

Hooray for ice cream! I yell as I hop. Oh no, it fell! I need a mop. I tried to spin like a top. It was a total flop.
She climbed up the wall. And had a fall. Giraffes are so tall. It would be fun to watch them play ball!

The jar I had lost its lid. So my parents found out as I hid. My bike almost went into a skid. I’ll try to be a careful kid.
